Roads & highways ROAD RESTRICTIONS ENVIRONMENT & INFRASTRUCTURE DEPARTMENT FOR TRANSPORT TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice under section 14(1) (b), (2A) (3A) and (3AA) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that he has determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications the London Overground (Barking Riverside Extension) Order (“the Order”). It will authorise the construction and operation of a railway to serve the Barking Riverside development area in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) and future potential development areas along its 4km route. It extends the Gospel Oak to Barking London Overground line to terminate at a new station in Barking Riverside. The Order will also authorise the compulsory acquisition and the temporary use of land for the purposes of the scheme.
