  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts

    The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008) .

    Turnover policy

    Sales turnover represents income from property rental and other income, excluding value added tax. All sales are made within the UK.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates so as to write off the cost of each asset over its estimated useful life as follows: Furniture & Fittings 25% Reducing Balance The leasehold properties are included in the Balance Sheet at their original purchase price and are not depreciated. The market value of the properties is in the opinion of the Director in excess of the purchase price. This treatment is not in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, but in the opinion of the Director is necessary to give a true and fair view of the financial position of the company.
