How to look up a UK limited company for free

Every UK limited company's registration details, accounts, directors and filing history are public — you never need to pay just to see them.

Search the company by name, number or postcode here. The company's page shows its status, registered office, accounts history with charts, directors, people with significant control, charges, Gazette notices and — where the data exists — its gender pay gap, government contracts, patents, CQC ratings and property holdings, all joined in one place.

Things worth checking first: the status (active, dissolved, in liquidation), whether accounts are overdue, and the Gazette tab for winding-up or strike-off notices.

The statutory record is Companies House: find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk — free, and authoritative for filings. We add joined data (pay gap, contracts, patents, care ratings, property) that the register itself does not carry.
