There are 5,172,494 active companies registered in the UK, out of 13,579,295 ever registered at Companies House. 7,854,042 companies are dissolved and 108,779 are in liquidation.

511,643 new companies have been incorporated so far in 2026, against 828,015 in the whole of 2025.
