How to check a UK director's record

A director's whole public record — every appointment, every company outcome, and any disqualification — can be read from the register.

From any company page, click a director's name for their appointment history: current and past companies, with each company's status, so a trail of dissolutions reads clearly. Disqualification records from the Insolvency Service appear on both the person's page and the affected company's page, with the conduct described in the regulator's own words.

Fairness matters here: names are matched carefully, common names can belong to different people, and the register's own pages are the place to verify before drawing conclusions about a person.
