How to find out who owns a UK company

UK companies must declare their beneficial owners — "persons with significant control" (PSC) — and corporate parents, all on the public record.

Open the company here and check the Control tab for PSC declarations (owners of 25%+, by bands), and the group structure card for the corporate family — who it is part of and what it controls, built from corporate PSC filings across the register.

Limits worth knowing: PSC is self-declared, exemptions exist, and ownership below 25% does not have to be declared at all.

Official sources

PSC filings are at Companies House, on each company's "People" section.
