From 7 January 2017 onwards Adam Witold Osuch (“Mr Osuch”) failed to ensure A and R Installations Limited (“A and R”) complied with its statutory obligations to submit returns and make payments to HM Revenue & Customs (“HMRC”) in respect of Value Added Tax (“VAT”). In that: A and R registered for VAT with effect from 1 November 2006. A and R submitted returns in respect of the periods up to and including 08/16, which were all paid in full. No returns were submitted for the VAT periods 11/16 to 11/20, first due on 7 January 2017, and no monies were remitted to HMRC in respect of the resultant VAT liabilities.
