On or after 23 March 2021, Mr Azmat Ali caused G.A. International Limited (“GA”) to breach the terms and conditions of the Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) Scheme by misusing £43,390 that can be identified as being the remainder of a £50,000 BBL that GA applied for in May 2020. These funds were not used for the economic benefit of GA, as stipulated in the terms and conditions. In that:- • The BBL terms and conditions state that the loan must only be used to provide an economic benefit to the business, for example providing working capital, and not for personal purposes. • On 06 May 2020 Mr Ali applied for a £50,000 BBL.On 08 May 2020 Mr Ali signed the Bounce Back Loan Scheme Fixed Rate Agreement and on 11 May 2020 £50,000 (BBL) was credited to the company account ending 355. The only funds in this account were the bounce back loan monies (£50,000). • Between 11 May 2020 and 19 March 2021 the same funds were moved between accounts in the company name. • On 23 March 2021, following Mr Ali’s instruction the bank released the funds to a connected third party. • No evidence has been provided for how this money was used. • At the date of liquidation GA owed £347,824 to creditors of which at least £50,000 was owed to the bank in respect of the Bounce Back Loan with the remainder being owed to HMRC
