The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover.?? ? • Belle was incorporated on 04 March 2011.? ? • On 09 October 2020, Mrs Cann applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of Belle, declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £237,152.? ? • Financial year end accounts to 31 March 2019 confirmed turnover of £9,760, and for 31 March 2020 confirmed turnover of £12,064. Calendar year 2019 turnover could not therefore have been more than £21,824, meaning a maximum BBL of no more than £5,456. ?? • Belle received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 20 October 2020.?? • Following receipt of the BBL, bank statements show net receipts totalling £14,745, including net sales of £6,982 and HMRC furlough grants of £7,046. Bank statements show cash withdrawals totalling £30,300, net transfers to an account operated by Mrs Cann and her co-director totalling £1,500 and apparent payments for the personal benefit of Mrs Cann and her co-director totalling £14,854. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £57,786 of which £50,423 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.?
