On 07 May 2020, Oliver Corse (‘Mr Corse’) caused South West SA Ltd (‘SWSA’) to make payments to his personal benefit totalling £23,882, using funds from a Bounce Back Loan (‘BBL’) of £30,000 obtained on 06 May 2020 breaching the conditions of the BBL which was intended to be used for the economic benefit of the company, in that: • Accounts for the financial year ending 30 April 2019 confirmed that Mr Corse was owed £21,891 by SWSA. • In the Directors Report prepared for the liquidation, Mr Corse stated that following the Covid 19 Pandemic in March 2020, demand for serviced offices dropped significantly, the income of SWSA became almost non-existent. • On 06 May 2020, £30,000 was paid into the bank account of SWSA in respect of a BBL. The terms of a BBL were that it was not to be used for personal purposes but as an economic benefit for the company. • On 07 May 2020, contrary to the terms of the BBL, Mr Corse caused SWSA to make payments totalling £23,882 to repay personal creditors of Mr Corse. • At liquidation on 14 December 2020, SWSA had assets of £6,100, and total liabilities of £31,000, of which £30,000 was in respect of the BBL.
