From 4 February 2020 to 14 January 2021 Mr Jack Lambert (Mr Lambert) neglected his duties as a director of CK Sales Ltd ("CKS") as without his proper oversight CKS was able to make false applications for Covid support, in that: Mr Lambert states he was approached by an individual on a building site in January 2020 and asked to become a director of CKS. He states the individual claimed to be unable to open a bank account and needed Mr Lambert to do this and act as a silent partner; Mr Lambert states he set up a bank account for CKS in January 2020 and on receipt passed the bank card and account information to the individual; Mr Lambert became a Director and sole shareholder of CKS with effect from 4 February 2020; Mr Lambert states he was paid £2,000 in cash by the individual for agreeing to become a Director of CKS; CKS submitted false applications for Small Business Grant Funds and CKS received at least £30,000 to which it was not entitled CKS also applied for and received a £50,000 bounce back loan and no records have been delivered up to enable it to be evidenced whether it was entitled to this amount or whether the funds were applied for the appropriate purpose; On 14 January 2021 Mr Lambert’s resignation was electronically filed backdated to 6 June 2020.
