Between 1 March 2020 and 5 May 2020, after the company had ceased to trade, Luke Clapp (Mr Clapp”) caused Arora Consult Limited (“ACL”) to enter into transactions to the detriment of HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) The company ceased to trade on 26 February 2020. Between 1 March 2020 and 5 May 2020 Mr Clapp removed funds from the company bank account for his own benefit, in the sum of £21,000. Between 16 March 2020 and 6 April 2020 Mr Clapp paid a total of £2,000 to his co-director. By removing these funds from the company bank account the company became insolvent and was unable to pay the company tax liability of £63,331 at liquidation.
