RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN CONSULTANCY SERVICES Electrical Distribution Surveys We carry out comprehensive electrical distribution surveys to assess the condition, compliance, and capacity of existing electrical installations. The surveys support services including detailed designs, feasibility reports and recommendations. Condition & Compliance Assessments – Full inspection and testing of electrical systems to evaluate functionality and adherence to BS7671 and Network Rail Standards. Load Monitoring – Analysis of electrical demand and spare capacity for future expansion or system upgrades. Site Surveys – Coverage of depots, stations, platforms, level-crossings, line-side equipment and operational buildings to support GRIP/PACE stage feasibility and design. Reports – Post survey reports consolidating findings to include non-compliances and recommendations. Electrical Distribution Design We provide electrical design services from feasibility through to detailed designs. Our designs, which include specifications, calculations and drawings, ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical distribution systems that meet all current British and Network Rail Standards. Low Voltage Operational Equipment – Providing outline and detailed design solutions including: Operational Signalling Power Supplies Operational Telecoms Power Supplies Track Access Safety Systems Power Supplies Points Heating Low Voltage Operational Equipment (M&E Plant) – Production of robust power system solutions for stations, depots, and other key assets. Cable containment & routing with production of optimised layouts for ease of installation and maintenance, fully coordinated with other disciplines. Low Voltage Operational Equipment (Lighting – Building and Non-Building Installations) – Internal and external lighting design for energy efficiency, safety, and compliance for building applications such as stations and depots as well as non-building installations such as level crossings, footbridges, driver walkways, car parks and tunnels. Earthing & Bonding – System design to meet safety standards and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, inclusive of full route studies covering solutions for new and existing assets/structures. Construction Support & Design Assurance – Technical support during build phase to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of design. Production of staging designs in support of physical works buildability Consultancy Services We provide electrical and mechanical consultancy across all stages of a project’s lifecycle, supporting clients with technical advice as well as guidance on standards and regulations for both early-stage feasibility or during delivery.
