Michelle Allen (Ms Allen) caused All Out Netball Limited (Netball) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (BBL) of £50,000 on 23 June 2020 using overstated turnover figures in the application form. Consequently, Netball received more monies than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme, in that: Businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover in the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 01 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. Netball was incorporated on 27 December 2017 and required to provide its 2019 calendar year turnover on the BBL application. Companies House Accounts for YE 31 December 2018 show Netball was Dormant. Bank Records show Netball’s income in 2019 was £120, its only other income was £14,810 between 11 May 2020 and 26 May 2020. On 23 June 2020 Ms Allen applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of Netball declaring that its estimated turnover was £232,000. Netball was not entitled to any BBL and therefore received £50,000 more than it was entitled to under the BBL scheme. On 26 October 2022 Netball was Wound Up in the High Court of Justice Business and Property Court of England and Wales with total liabilities of £50,000 of which relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.?
