The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on 13
December 2023 he has confirmed, with modifications, the above
Order which was made by Surrey County Council under sections 6, 8,
14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed,
authorises the Council to –
(a) improve highways;
(b) stop up highways;
(c) construct new highways;
(d) stop up private means of access to premises; and
(e) provide new means of access to premises,
all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the
A320 which the Council are proposing to improve between Ottershaw
Roundabout, Ottershaw and St Ann’s Roundabout, Chertsey and
along St Peter’s Way, Chertsey.

1. The London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above
Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and introduce road
humps under the Highways Act 1980.
2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading, Parking Places and
Disabled Parking Bays Orders would be to facilitate improvements to
the public realm in the vicinity of Nos.1-15 Grove Park Road through
the relocation and reallocation of the on-street parking bays. The
overall number of ‘pay-by-phone’ parking bays will be reduced by
three. The hours of operation for the ‘pay-by-phone’ will be extended
to 9am to 5pm, with the first 30 mins of parking continuing to be free.
Eight of the existing shared-use bays within the area will be converted
to a mixture of ‘pay-by-phone’ parking bays, a loading bay and
waiting restrictions. The number of resident parking bays will be
increased by one.
3. The general effect of the Loading Places Order would be to
facilitate the introduction of a Goods Vehicle Only loading bay on
Spencer Road adjacent to its junction with Grove Park Road.
4. The proposed road humps would consist of:
a) a flat top road hump on Grove Park Road and Bolton Road at the
junction of these two roads. The road hump will have a maximum
height of 75mm, a maximum gradient of 1 in 20 with a plateau length
of 27 metres;
b) raised side road entry treatments with a maximum height of 75mm
and a maximum gradient of 1:12 at the junctions of Spencer Road
and Station Approach Road with Grove Park Road.

Borough of Hackney made an Experimental Traffic Order under the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling
powers.
2. The effect of the Experimental Traffic Order (ETO), which comes
into operation on 19th January 2024, will be to introduce a ‘Pedestrian
and Cycle Zone’ in the following locations, operating Monday - Friday,
between 8.30am - 9.30am and 3.00pm – 4.00pm (during school term

3. The London Borough of Hackney statement of reasons for
undertaking an experimental order are as follows;
a) Enable the real-world impacts of the scheme to be monitored
b) Enable flexibility to make changes to mitigate unanticipated traffic
impacts
c) Enable the testing of the proposed scheme design to determine
whether it succeeds in achieving the objectives given above, whilst
monitoring for unanticipated impacts during the experimental period,
before a decision is made to amend, keep or remove the scheme
d) Enable residents and businesses to comment on the scheme after
seeing its real world impacts and inform the decision to amend, keep
or remove the scheme with feedback based on actual experience
rather than speculation
e) Enable the testing and review of the scheme design and whether a
School Street is needed on just the northern side of Church Walk
4. The London Borough of Hackney will in due course be considering
whether the provisions of the ETO should be continued in force
indefinitely. Accordingly, these changes are being introduced for a trial
period before consideration is given to whether the provisions of the
ETO should be made permanent.
5. The ETO will continue in force for a period of 18 months, during
which time a permanent Order will be considered. Within a period of 6
months from the date on which the ETO comes into force, any person
may object to the making of a permanent order. Should the ETO be
varied or modified, the 6 month period will begin with the day on
which the variation or modification (or, as appropriate, the latest
variation or modification) comes into force. Any objection should be
made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and should be
emailed to [email protected]. Any comments
in support of the ETO are also invited during this period.
6. Section 10(2) of the RTRA 1984 provides that an experimental
traffic order may include provision empowering a specified officer of
the Council who made the order (or another person authorised by that
specified officer) to modify or suspend the operation of the order or
any provision of it if it appears to him or her to be essential in the

in the interests of providing suitable and adequate on-street parking

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London
Borough of Islington proposes to make the above-mentioned Order
under Sections 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
as amended.
2. The general effect of the order will be to formalise the existing
parking restrictions in the Council’s housing estate car parks and
access roads within the estates listed in Schedules 1 and 2 to this
notice, so as to allow for penalty charge notice parking enforcement
under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
3. The restrictions in the estates listed in the schedules to this notice
will be:
(a) No vehicles may park in any area indicated as being a ‘restricted
area’ by the marking of either cross-hatching or ‘keep clear’ markings;
(b) No vehicles may park in any area indicated as being a ‘restricted
area’ by the marking of double-yellow lines, except for vehicles
parked for the purposes of loading and unloading;
(c) Where parking bays are marked, all vehicles must be parked within
the limits of a marked parking bay;,
(d) Where it is indicated that an estate bay holder permit parking
scheme is in operation, all vehicles (other than those left in bike
hangars, marked motorcycle bays, authorised vehicle bays or marked
disabled person’s parking bays) left parked:
(i) in a resident bay must display either a valid bay holder permit or
valid bay holder visitor voucher; and
(ii) in a shared use bay must display either a valid temporary permit or
valid visitor voucher;
(e) Where a parking bay is marked as being for disabled persons only,
only vehicles displaying a valid ‘blue badge’ may be left in that
parking bay;
(f) Where a parking bay is marked as being for motor cycles only, only
vehicles of that class may be left in that parking bay;
(g) Where bike hangars are provided only pedal cycles may be left in a
bike hangar; and
(h) Where a parking bay is marked as being for authorised vehicles
only, only liveried council vehicles or vehicles displaying a permit
indicating their use by the council. 4. The charges for bay holder
parking permits and visitor vouchers shall be as follows:

some person authorised by them, may, if it appears to them or that
person essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and
safe movement of traffic or for preserving or improving the amenities
of the area through which any road affected by the Order extends,
modify or suspend the Order or any provision thereof.

Notice is hereby given that on the 12 January 2023 the Borough
Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) and 15(2) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to
temporarily prohibit and/or restrict vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians
at various times and locations as set out in the Schedule below. The
Order is required to facilitate major structural works being carried out
to restore and repair the Tyne Bridge. The Order will come into force
on the 15 January 2024. The Order will be in place until the 01 June
2028 or upon the conclusion of the works, whichever occurs first.
During the works all vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians (except
vehicles and pedestrians associated with the works and emergency
service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited and/or restricted along the
lengths of highway as set out below until the works are completed.
Advance notification of each specific prohibition/restriction will be
