TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited (a) has made
an Order on the A20 and A2 Trunk Roads in the County of Kent, using
powers conferred by Sections 1(1), 2(1) and 2(2) and 4 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to better manage freight movements
within the town of Dover during peak traffic demand, thereby reducing
the risk of danger to the public from excessively queueing traffic.
The Order was made on 16th August 2024 and comes into force 1st
September 2024.
The notice of proposal to make the Order (reference 4656608) was
published in issue number 64450 of the London Gazette on 3rd July
2024 and the effect of the order is as described in that notice.
A copy of the Made Order and a plan illustrating the effects may be

Any person wishing to question the validity of the order or of any of its
provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the
relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act
or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough
of Greenwich (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) proposes to
make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part
IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended.
2. The effect of the Order would be to introduce bus, cycle and taxi
lanes operational 7am-7pm Mondays to Fridays on:
a) John Harrison Way, south-east side, from its junction with West
Parkside to a point 56 metres north-east of its junction with the
roundabout with Bugsbys Way.
b) John Harrison Way, north-west side, from a point 31 metres south-
west of its junction with West Parkside to a point 49 metres north-east
of its junction with the roundabout with Bugsbys Way.

1) (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) ORDER 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of
Hammersmith and Fulham made the above-mentioned Order under
the powers granted by sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order will come into force on
21st August 2024 and may continue in force for up to 18 months.
2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Order will be to prohibit
any motor vehicle to proceed past a point in any length of the streets
specified in the schedule to this notice.
3. The controls specified in article 2 would not apply in respect of a
vehicle being in any length of the restricted streets –
a. with a valid permit;
b. being a bus, local bus, taxi and pedal cycle;
c. in the pursuance of any statutory duty of the Post Office for the
purpose of collecting or delivering letters provided the vehicle bears
the Royal Mail livery;
d. in connection with the removal of any obstruction to traffic in the
restricted streets;
e. in connection with the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction
of any of the restricted streets or any street furniture in the restricted
streets;
f. in connection with the laying, erection, alteration or repair in or near
the restricted street of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus for
the supply of gas, water or electricity, or of any telecommunications
apparatus as defined in paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 2 of the
Telecommunications Act 1984 in any restricted street;
g. if it is being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes
4. For a period of 6 weeks from the day on which the Orders are
made, a copy of all Orders and a copy of the Councils statement of
reasons for making the Orders and documents giving more detailed
particulars of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours
by contacting Parking Services, The Place Department, Town Hall,
King Street, Hammersmith, W6 9JU or by requesting a copy via email
to [email protected]
5. The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of
the Orders should be continued in force indefinitely by means of
permanent Orders made under sections 6, 45 and 46 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Any person may object to the making of
the permanent Orders within a period of six months beginning with
the date on which the experimental Orders come into force or, if the
Orders are varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section
10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the date on which the variation
or modification or the latest variation or modification comes into force.
Any such objection must be made in writing and must state the
grounds on which it is made and be sent to Parking Services, The
Place Department, Town Hall, King Street, Hammersmith, W6 9JU or
via email to [email protected].
6. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of
the provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to further amend the
above orders, so that there would be introduced new, Event Day
(being a day when any football match or other sporting event, social
event, trade event or entertainment is held at Fulham Football Club,
known as Craven Cottage, and located at Stevenage Road, London,
SW6 6HH) extended parking controls in all of Controlled Parking Zone
T.
3. The new Event Day parking controls will operate on Monday to
Sunday, 9am to 10pm.
4. A maximum stay restriction of two hours for pay and display and
RingGo parking, with a ‘No return’ within one hour, will apply on Event
Days.
5. Resident Visitor Permits will be exempt from the maximum stay
restrictions
6. A copy of the proposed Orders, the Councils Statement of Reasons
for proposing to make the Orders, and documents giving more
detailed particulars can be inspected, by appointment, during normal
office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period
of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made, or
as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.
7. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders or make other

2. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit motor vehicles from
entering into or proceeding in that length of un-named carriageway
located at the south-western exit of the Festoon Way roundabout
south-westward for a distance of 23.7 metres (as much as is public
highway). This will facilitate the soft landscaping of the existing
carriageway surface and the provision of a new pedestrian footway.

Orders will come into operation on 22nd August 2024.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
a) impose a 20 miles per hour speed limit on motor vehicles on:

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough
of Greenwich intends to make an Order to prevent danger to the
public under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The effect of the Order would be to temporarily:
a) prohibit all motor vehicles (including motorcycles), from entering
into, exiting from or proceeding in:
i) Blithdale Road outside No. 121;
b) replace the no entry restrictions with a prohibition of motor vehicles
(including motorcycles) on:
i) Barth Road, outside No. 49;

Offices, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, 37 Pembroke
Road, London, W8 6PW between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to
Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of six weeks from the date
the Order was made.
4. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any of its
provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that
Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied
with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the
Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
