The Department of Health has made a Statutory Rule entitled "The
Recovery of Health Services Charges (Amounts) (Amendment No. 2)
Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024" (SR 2024/162)
This rule amends the Recovery of Health Services Charges (Amounts)
Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 to increase the charges which
may be recovered where an injured person who receives a
compensation payment in respect of their injury the injured person is
provided with health care ambulance services, the charge is increased
from £249 to £256 for each occasion. Where the injured person
receives health care treatment but is not admitted to hospital the
charge is increased from £825 to £848. The daily charge for health
care in-patient treatment is increased from £1,014 to £1,042. The
maximum charge in respect of an injury is increased from £60,610 to
£62,272.

THE SOCIAL SECURITY (GENUINE AND SUFFICIENT LINK TO
THE UNITED KINGDOM) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS (NI) 2024
The Department for Communities has made a Statutory Rule entitled
“The Social Security (Genuine and Sufficient Link to the United
Kingdom) (Amendment) Regulations (NI) 2024” (S.R. 2024 No. 163),
which comes into operation on 7th November 2024.
This Rule amends regulations providing for disability and carers
benefits to reflect that claimants to whom a relevant EU Regulation
applies need only show a Genuine and Sufficient Link to the United
Kingdom and not the United Kingdom social security system. The
Rule makes the necessary legislative amendments to reflect the
judgment in Kavanagh & Anor v The Secretary of State for Work and
Pensions ([2019] EWCA Civ 272), by removing the words “social
security system” after the phrase “genuine and sufficient link to the
United Kingdom”.

2. The Order will be made to enable Thames Water and it contractors

schedule 1 below, at such times the when appropriate traffic signs are
displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and
General Directions 2016(c).
5. Where required Pedestrian and vehicular access will be diverted via
local adjacent footways and roads, one way streets where necessary,
may be reversed or reverted to two-way working, Lower Traffic
Neighbourhood Restriction and Healthy School Street Restrictions
may be lifted, road closures and parking prohibitions will apply all
when appropriate signs are displayed.
6. Nothing in this Order shall apply to vehicles being used for Fire,
Ambulance or Police purposes, or with the permission or at the
direction of a Police Constable in uniform, or a suitably Authorised
Officer. Nothing in paragraph 2 of the Order shall apply to vehicles

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on

1984, as amended. The Orders will come into operation on 1 April
2024.
2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to extend the
T1 CPZ to include Linden Grove, Noel Square and lengths of
Waldegrave Road, and to move the lengths of Waldegrave Road
currently in Zone T into Zone T1 The zone will operate between 10am
and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
3. The general effect of the Parking Places Supplementary Provisions

Notice.
4. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will
be to introduce waiting restrictions in various lengths of Linden Grove,
Noel Square and lengths of Waldegrave Road operating at any time
and between 10am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
5. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking
places where only vehicles which display a valid resident’s permit, a
valid business permit, a residents’ visitor permit, a multi-zone
business permit or an operational permit may park during the
controlled hours.
