CBS ENERGY STORAGE ASSETS UK LTD ABERNETHY ENERGY STORAGE PROJECT ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997 Notice is hereby given that CBS Energy Storage Assets UK Limited, company registration number 02352390, with its registered office at Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 5GD, applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate the Abernethy Energy Storage Project at land immediately east of Abernethy Substation, south of Jamesfield Centre, and north of the A914, Abernethy (Grid Reference 20286 17226) which shall have an installed capacity of up to 65MW and already benefits from Town and Country planning permission via two separate consents. A copy of the application including plans showing the lands to which it relates and supporting documents, are available for public inspection in person, free of charge during normal office hours at Perth & Kinross Council Offices Pullar House, 25 Kinnoull Street, Perth PH1 5GD. Copies of the application documents may also be obtained from CBS Solar Assets Limited free of charge on USB Memory Stick by contacting [email protected] or via the registered office noted above. Any representations to the application may be by email to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit mailbox at [email protected]; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation. Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals), and full postal address of those making representations. Emailed representations should also include the full return email address of those making representations. Only representations sent by email to [email protected] will receive acknowledgement. All representations should be received not later than 18th May 2025 although Ministers may consider representations received after this date. As a result of a statutory objection from the relevant planning authority, or where Scottish Ministers decide to exercise their discretion to do so, Scottish Ministers can also cause a Public Inquiry to be held. Following examination of the application, Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in one of two ways: Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or reject the proposal.
