Notice is hereby given that Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL)
registered under company registration SC295316 at Municipal
Buildings, Fore Street, Port Glasgow, PA14 5EQ has applied to the
Scottish Ministers for marine construction and dredge licences under
section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 to construct and dredge
for upgrades to the Tarbert Ferry Terminal at Tarbert, Isle of Harris
(latitude and longitude centre co-ordinates: 57°53.805’N 06°47.997’W
(WGS84)). The proposed works are subject to an environmental
impact assessment under The Marine Works (Environmental Impact
Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 (as amended) (“the EIA
Regulations”).
Copies of the applications including plans showing the location,
together with a copy of the Environmental Impact Assessment report
(“EIA report”) discussing CMAL’s proposed works in more detail and
presenting an analysis of the environmental implications, are available
for inspection, free of charge at: Tarbert Ferry Terminal Building, Pier,
Tarbert, HS3 3DG during the following hours:

Any representations should be made in writing to the consenting
authority by email to: [email protected] or by post to The
Scottish Government, Marine Scotland Licensing Operations Team,
Marine Laboratory, 375 Victoria Road, Aberdeen, AB11 9DB,
identifying the proposed works and specifying grounds for objection
or support, not later than 23rd of March 2019. The Scottish Ministers
may consider representations received after this date.
Representations should be dated and clearly state the name (in block
capitals) and the full return email or postal address of those making
the representation.
Subsequent submission by CMAL of additional information to the
Scottish Ministers will be publicised in a similar manner to the current
application including publication on the above websites.
Representations relative to additional information should be made on
the same basis as detailed above.
Having considered the applications for marine licences under section
20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 and the EIA Regulations the
Scottish Ministers may:-
• grant the marine licences with or without conditions attached; or
• refuse the applications.

Team (“MS-LOT”) processes applications under the Marine (Scotland)
Act 2010. During the consultation process written representations can
be sent to the Scottish Ministers.

of representations will be sent to the Directorate of Planning and
Environmental Appeals for the Reporter to consider during the inquiry.

THE PROPOSED CALEDONIAN MARITIME ASSETS (EAST LOCH
TARBERT) HARBOUR REVISION ORDER
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Caledonian Maritime Assets
Limited ("CMAL") registered company registration number SC001854
at Municipal Buildings, Fore Street, Port Glasgow PA14 5EQ has
applied to the Scottish Ministers for a Harbour Revision Order under
section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964 ("the 1964 Act").
2. The Order will authorise CMAL to construct and maintain works at
its Harbour at East Loch Tarbert, Isle of Harris. The works proposed to
be authorised comprise the reclamation of land, a new roundabout
junction with the A868, a pier and the construction of a new ferry
terminal building.
3. The Order would also authorise the construction of subsidiary
works and confers a power to dredge for the purposes of
constructing and maintaining the works
4. The Order provides for new harbour limits and confers updated
powers on CMAL including powers as regards the issuing of general
and special directions.
5. The Scottish Ministers have advised by letter dated 20 September
2017 that they have decided in accordance with paragraph 4 of
Schedule 3 to the 1964 Act that the application relates to a project
which falls within Annex II to Council Directive 2011/92/EU on the
assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the
environment (“the Directive”) being a construction of a port
installation.
6. The Scottish Ministers have concluded that it is a relevant project in
terms of Schedule 3 to the 1964 Act by virtue of its location and
potential to have significant environmental effects.
7. Accordingly, an Environmental Impact Assessment is required and
CMAL has supplied the Scottish Ministers with an Environmental
Impact Assessment Report (“EIA Report”).
8. A copy of the draft Order, the deposited plans, sections and
elevations of the proposed works which accompanied the application,
a copy of the EIA Report and non-technical summary and the letter
dated 20 September 2017 may be inspected free of charge at Tarbert
Ferry Terminal, Pier Road, Tarbert, Isle of Harris, HS3 3DG at the
following times until the expiry of the forty-two day period specified
below: • Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 6:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. •

9. Any person requiring further information concerning the proposed
works should apply in writing for that information to CMAL at the
address given at the foot of this notice quoting reference “Proposed
Caledonian Maritime Assets (East Loch Tarbert) Harbour Revision
Order”.
10. Copies of the EIA Report may be obtained from CMAL at the
address given at the foot of this notice at a cost of £100 for a hard
copy. A copy of the EIA Report on CD and a copy of a short non-
technical summary may be obtained free of charge.
11. Paragraph 16 of Schedule 3 to the Harbours Act 1964 (which
relates to information on a project which is likely to have significant
effects on the environment in any other European Economic Area
Member State) does not apply to the application.
12. Any person wishing to make an objection or representation
concerning the EIA Report to the Scottish Ministers concerning the

CONSERVATION AREAS
NOTICE IS GIVEN under the provisions of the 1990 Act that Suffolk Coastal District Council has determined that the area described in the
Schedule to this Notice is an area of special architectural or historic interest, and that it is desirable to preserve or enhance its character or
appearance. It has accordingly designated the area as a “conservation area”.
The principal effects of this area being designated as a conservation area are as follows:
1. The Council is under a duty to prepare proposals to ensure the preservation or enhancement of the area.
2. Express or Formal Consent must be obtained from the Council for the demolition of any building in the area.
3. Special publicity must be given to planning applications for development in the area.

18 CONSULTATION
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is preparing a Traveller
Local Plan which will set out how the accommodation needs of gypsy
and traveller, travelling showpeople and boat dweller groups would be
met.
The Issues and Options paper forms the first stage in plan-
preparation. The public and other stakeholders are now invited to
submit comments on the options and questions raised in the paper
and also on the accompanying evidence base.
Following feedback from engagement events it has been decided to
extend the Traveller Local Plan Issues and Options consultation
period by 2 weeks. The consultation will now be open for responses
to be made until midnight on Monday 11 March 2019 and not 25
February as previously stated.
