NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has
made an Order on the A47 Trunk Road in the County of Norfolk to
enable third party utility works to install high voltage power
connections to Necton Onshore Windfarm, construction and widening
of accesses to a national grid substation and carriageway resurfacing,
cabling and ducting, concrete protection, renewal of road markings
and road studs, surveys and inspections, renewal of technology,
safety barrier and signs, and general routine maintenance to be
carried out in safety.
The works are expected to last until June 2026 commencing on or
after 20 November 2023.
The effect of the Order on the A47 will be to –
1. impose a speed restriction for 24 hours daily, of –
• 40 miles per hour on the eastbound and westbound carriageways
between points 150 metres west of Norwich Road junction, Swaffham
and the centreline of Chapel Lane (west), Scarning,
• 30 miles per hour on the eastbound and westbound carriageways
between Moor Lane, Necton and 700 metres west of Station Road,
Little Fransham, Dereham, and
• 30 miles per hour on the eastbound and westbound carriageways
between 350 metres west of Tuns Road and Moor Lane, Necton.
2. close, between 8pm and 6am, the eastbound and westbound
carriageways between Dunham Road, Necton and Station Road,
Dereham – diverting traffic at Swaffham via A1065, A134, A11 and
A47 to Dereham to continue their journey.
3. close, at weekends, between Friday 8pm and Monday 6am, the
bus stops located adjacent to the –
• eastbound carriageway approximately 15 metres east of Dunham
Road Necton, and
• westbound carriageway approximately 100 metres east of Tuns
Road, Necton.
4. prohibit for 24 hours daily, right turn movements from the
westbound carriageway of the A47 into Spicers Corner (western
junction), Little Fransham.
During the works all lay-bys situated adjacent to the lengths of
carriageway described at 1 above will remain closed for 24 hours
daily.
The temporary mandatory speed limits (which will not apply to
emergency service or special forces vehicles) and closures (which will
not apply to emergency service, traffic officer, winter maintenance or
works vehicles) will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 20 November 2023 and may
continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed.

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order in
respect of the following road:
GREAT YARMOUTH - U60926 Steam Mill Lane from its junction with
the A1243 Bridge Road for 150m north-westwards to facilitate
building repair works to a fire damaged building from 16th December
2023 to 13th November 2026. Alternative route is via: Steam Mill
Lane, Saw Mill Lane, Mill Road.
The effect of this Order will be to restrict the use by vehicles on the
named road. In the event of the start date being delayed the new start
date will be displayed on site in advance. Alternative routes are shown
where applicable and pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for
contravention.

2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction
Amendment Order will be to introduce lengths of yellow lines and

remove, add and make changes to the hours of operation to certain

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 14th November
2023 it made the above named Order, under section 6 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 20th
November 2023.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:
(1) prohibit all vehicles proceeding westwards on Gunnersbury Lane
from turning right into A406 Gunnersbury Avenue;
(2) prohibit all vehicles, except local buses, proceeding northwards on
Hangar Lane from turning left into A406 North Common Road;
(3) prohibit all vehicles proceeding northwards on A406 Hangar Lane
from turning right into The Ridings;
(4) prohibit all vehicles proceeding eastwards on Pope’s Lane from

THE TAXIS (TAXIMETERS, DEVICES AND MAXIMUM FARES)
(AMENDMENT NO. 2) REGULATIONS (NORTHERN IRELAND)
The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule entitled
"The Taxis (Taximeters, Devices and Maximum Fares) (Amendment
No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023” (S.R. 2023 No. 185), which
comes into operation on 5th December 2023.
The Rule amends the Taxis (Taximeters, Devices and Maximum Fares)
Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to provide for the implementation
of an increase in maximum fare rates for Class A and Class B taxis.
The Rule also permits taximeters to be operated without having been
inspected, tested and sealed, in specified circumstances, during the
period 5th December 2023 to 31st May 2024 on the condition that an
application for a taximeter test has been made.
