EVISHAGARAN WIND FARM LIMITED APPLICATION FOR A GENERATION LICENCE UNDER ARTICLE 10(1) (A) OF THE ELECTRICITY (NI) ORDER 1992 AS AMENDED BY THE ENERGY (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 2003 1. Full name of the applicant(s) Evishagaran Wind Farm Limited 2. Address of the applicant(s), or in the case of a body corporate, the registered or principle office. 42-46 Fountain Street, Belfast, Antrim, BT1 5EF 3. Where the applicant is a company, the full names of the current Directors and the company’s registered number: Directors of Evishagaran Wind Farm Ltd are C Deperu, C N Williams and L K H Purves. Company Registration No: NI637283. 4. Where a holding of 20 per cent, or more of the shares (see Note) of an applicant is held by a body corporate or partnership or an incorporated association carrying on a trade or business with or without a view to profit, the name(s) and address(es) of the holder(s) of such shares shall be provided. Shares are 100% owned by ERG UK Holding Ltd, 2 Castle Terrace, 4th Floor, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, EH1 2EL. 5. Desired date from which the licence is to take effect: December 2021 6. The number of generating stations intended to be operated under the licence (if granted): 13 turbines 7. A sufficient description specifying the actual or proposed locations of those stations. E.g.: by reference to townlands, local government districts, postal address, etc. Evishagaran Wind Farm in the townlands of Evishagaran and Cruckanim, 5.5km east of Dungiven, County Londonderry. It is accessed off the American Road, which is off the Gelvin Road. The grid reference for the substation of the wind farm is Easting 274874 Northing 410848. 8. A description of how those stations will, in each case, be fuelled or driven: The stations will be driven by wind. 9. The date when any proposed generating stations are expected to be commissioned: August 2021. 10. The capacity and type of each unit within the generating station (MW): Thirteen no. wind turbines each with a capacity of 3.6MW. The overall wind farm maximum export capacity (MEC) will be 46.8MW. 11. A statement of the extent (if any) to which the applicant considers it necessary for powers under Schedule 3 (compulsory acquisition of land etc.) and under Schedule 4 (other powers etc.) to the Order to be given through the licence for which he is applying, together with a statement of any specific purposes for which those powers are felt to be necessary. Details of any licences held, applied for or being applied for by the applicant in respect of the generation, participation in transmission or supply of electricity: None ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DEPARTMENT FOR INFRASTRUCTURE ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT: NOTICE OF DETERMINATION A2 BUNCRANA ROAD The Department for Infrastructure hereby gives notice, in accordance with Part V of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993 (“the 1993 Order”) as amended, that it considers that its proposal for the construction of an upgraded strategic road link between Pennyburn Roundabout and the boundary with Co Donegal is a relevant project within the meaning of Article 67(1) of the 1993 Order and falls within Annex II to Directive 2011/92/EU (“the Directive”), as amended by Directive 2014/52/EU of the European Parliament and Council, on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment. The Department has determined after having regard to the selection criteria contained in Annex III to the Directive that this proposal should be made subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment in accordance with the Directive.
