Breach of these prohibitions will be an offence under the proposed regulations. A person found guilty of committing an offence under the regulations will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, currently £5000; and upon conviction on indictment, to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine or both.
