CITY OF LONDON – NOTICE OF MAKING Amendments to parking places (disabled persons, payment parking and motorcycle), one way and road closure restrictions at various locations. In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other powers, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London has made the orders set out in section 1 to this notice, with the effect set out in section 2 to this notice, by amending the orders set out in section 3 to this notice. 1. The orders set out in section 1 to this notice will have the following effect; (a) Pepys Street to:- (i) introduce a payment parking place on the north side, the north side, from a point 6.6 metres opposite a point east of the western flank wall of number 1 Pepys Street westward for a distance of 6 metres. The parking charge set out in Schedule 2 (as varied) of The City of London (Parking Places) (Consolidation No. 1) Order 2018 will apply; (ii) extend the existing payment parking place on the south side, from a point 4.4 metres west of the western kerb-line of Savage Gardens by 6.5 metres in a westerly direction. The parking charge set out in Schedule 2 (as varied) of The City of London (Parking Places) (Consolidation No. 1) Order 2018 will apply; (iii) re-position the existing motor cycle parking place on the south side adjacent to the north side of No. 10 Trinity Square by 6.5 metres in a westerly direction; (iv) relocate existing disabled persons parking places by 0.6 metres in a westerly direction. (b) Great Tower Street to revoke the one way restriction between a point 21 metres north-west of the western kerb-line of Mark Lane and its junction with Byward Street, excluding the bus route, from north- west to south-east. (c) Hayne Street to revoke the no motor vehicles restriction operating at any time except for access on its entire length. 3. LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK TANNER STREET IMPROVEMENTS THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (TANNER STREET IMPROVEMENTS) ORDER 202* 1. Southwark Council hereby GIVES NOTICE that it proposes to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effects of the Order, in the vicinity of the development site known as Nos. 67-71 Tanner Street, the purpose of which would be to facilitate pedestrian crossing as a priority of this area and to clear obstructive parking around vehicular access points, would be in TANNER STREET on the south-east side (opposite Nos. 67-71 Tanner Street) to upgrade to new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) a 29.5 metre length of existing ‘timed’ waiting restrictions (single yellow lines) with contiguous ‘timed’ loading restrictions (single kerb blips operating only Saturdays between 8 am and 7 pm and Sundays between 8 am and 6 pm). The existing contiguous single kerb blips would remain unchanged on the new length of double yellow lines. NOTES: (1) ‘at any time’ means at all hours on every day of the week. Southwark Council hereby GIVES FURTHER NOTICE under sections 90A to 90I of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Traffic calming) Regulations 1999, propose to construct a speed table of flat-top construction having a maximum height level with the surrounding kerb covering the entire width of the carriageway, in TANNER STREET from a point 8 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Maltby Street extending south-westward for a distance of 6 metres.
