- Robert James Shorland (“Mr Shorland”) caused Push Solutions Ltd (“PSL”) to apply for and subsequently receive a second Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000, which was in contravention of the terms and conditions of the BBL scheme. Consequently, PSL received £50,000 more monies than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme in that: • The terms and conditions of the BBL scheme stated that a business could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of its turnover. • On 04 May 2020, Mr Shorland, on behalf of PSL, applied for a BBL of £50,000 from Bank “A.” PSL received the £50,000 BBL monies from Bank “A” on 06 May 2020. • On 08 June 2020, Mr Shorland, on behalf of PSL, applied for a second BBL of £50,000 from Bank “B”. PSL received the £50,000 BBL monies from Bank “B” on 09 June 2020. • PSL was not entitled to the second BBL as it had already received the maximum amount allowed under the BBL scheme on 06 May 2020. • On 13 September 2021, PSL entered Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation with total liabilities of £373,501.32, including £101,314.45 owed in respect of the two BBLs.
