HEATHROW AIRPORT LIMITED HEATHROW AIRPORT TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (WASP ROAD AND WIRRA WAY) NO.1 ORDER 2023 Heathrow Airport Limited GIVES NOTICE that it intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 14 and 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and all other enabling powers, to enable the installation of electric charging points works to take place at Terminal 5 Coach Park, Heathrow Airport. The effect of this Order will be a temporary prohibition of driving for all vehicles on Wasp Road and Wirra Way, for their entire length. Traffic would be diverted via Wayfarer Road and T5 Roundabout, and Widgeon Road. The provisions of any other temporary Orders, which are made prior to commencement of this Order, are thereby revoked by only in so far as they are affected by the restrictions imposed by this Order. This Order will come into operation on the 2nd August 2023 and will remain in force at all times, for a maximum period of eighteen months, or earlier if the works to which they’re related have finished. The closure will be effective as soon as the relevant signs are erected and will remain in place at all times when indicated by the traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Aldworth Road / Elliot Close / Faringford Road junction, from the north-eastern corner to the south-western corner, requiring a compulsory left turn for eastbound traffic on Aldworth Road into Elliot Close, and for westbound traffic on Aldworth Road into Faringford Road; and compulsory right turns from Faringford Road into the eastern arm of Aldworth Road and from Elliot Close into the western arm of Aldworth Road. ii. Earlham Grove, from the western kerb-line of Woodgrange Road westward for 10 metres; iii. Keogh Road / Carnarvon Road junction, from the north-eastern corner to the south-western corner; iv. Manbey Grove, from a point 26.5 metres east of the eastern kerb- line of The Grove eastward for 2 metres; b) conversion of one-way working for traffic to two-way working in:- i. Aldworth Road, between the eastern kerb-line of West Ham Lane and the junction of Elliot Close / Faringford Road; ii. Earlham Grove, between the western kerb-line of Woodgrange Road and a point 42 metres west of that kerb-line; iii. Keogh Road, between McGrath Road and Carnarvon Road; iv. Manbey Grove, between The Grove and Manbey Road; c) conversion of existing parking places to no waiting and no loading at any time restrictions in Faringford Road, the west side; d) conversion of existing waiting restrictions to no waiting and no loading at any time in: i. Aldworth Road, at the junction of Elliot Close / Faringford Road; ii. Carnarvon Road, at its junction with Keogh Road; iii. Keogh Road, at its junction with Carnarvon Road; and iv. Manbey Grove, at its junction with The Grove. 4. Exemptions from the road closures apply to: (a) pedal cycles; (b) refuse collection vehicles; and (c) vehicles being used: (i) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes; (ii) in connection with the removal of an obstruction; (iii) in connection with the cleansing, maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the carriageway; (iv) in connection with the placing, maintenance, improvement, reconstruction or removal of street furniture; (v) for the purpose of any building operation or demolition; or in connection with the laying, erection, alteration or repair of any sewer or of any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas, water or electricity, or of any communications network; or (vi) for the provision of a universal postal service. 5.
