The Regulations come into operation on 1st July 2025. The Northern Ireland Civil Service Pension benefit structure requires 5.6% of pensionable earnings to be contributed by members collectively (scheme yield). These Amendment Regulations address the shortfall in the scheme yield by adjusting the employee contribution percentage rates with effect from 1st July 2025. The Trustees of the Scheme (the “Trustees”) intend to finalise the winding up of the Scheme. Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 of the intention to wind up the Scheme and transfer its assets. The Trustees of the Scheme believe they have the names of everyone who had a right to benefits under the Scheme.
