What it does
Bridies farm was incorporated in April 2023. The company is still in its set up phase and will be fully operational by March 2027. During the financial year of 2024-2025 we have started to build connections with the local community by holding weakly volunteer days, two open days, four community tree planting days and have had free pilot sessions in our forest school attended by the local primary school and home education groups. We now have over thirty volunteers from our community who attend weekly and have been a vital part of the set up of infrastructure on the farm. We have observed friendships blossom as we start to create the community farm through team effort and shared lunches. Teachers who supported the children at the forest school have expressed how much the children have enjoyed the freedom and opportunity for learning in an outdoor, natural environment and are intending to start planned sessions in the spring of 2026. The four Tree planting days were attended by over fifty
