The proposed DCO will, amongst other things, authorise: 1 The construction of up to six circuits of offshore buried electrical cables including secondary cable protection and pipeline crossings; up to six buried cable transition joint bays located at Anderby Creek where the offshore cables will join the onshore cables; up to six circuits of onshore underground cables from the landfall to the Triton Knoll substation; an Intermediate Electrical Compound (“IEC”) for the compensation of reactive power located near Orby; a new Triton Knoll onshore electricity substation (‘Substation”) located at Bicker Fen; up to four circuits of additional onshore underground cables to connect the Substation to the existing National Grid substation; connection works at the National Grid substation; new private accesses, land raising, landscaping and drainage at the IEC and Triton Knoll substation; and temporary construction works including accesses from the public highway to the development site, temporary work areas and other associated works. 2 Temporary stopping up of roads and footpaths to facilitate the development of the onshore works described above. 3 The permanent compulsory acquisition of land and /or rights for the Project, including rights to access land for surveys. 4 The application and/or disapplication of legislation relevant to the Project including legislation relating to compulsory acquisition and land drainage consents. 5 Such ancillary, incidental and consequential provisions, permits or consents as are necessary and/or convenient.
