Every penny raised has been used solely for the benefit of the Society and its mission to preserve and promote an important part of our maritime history. As with any organisation, there are necessary running costs. Funds have been used for legitimate expenses including registering as a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), maintaining our website, obtaining public liability insurance so we can attend public events, producing letters and information, and providing donation pots and recycling-for-charity boxes displaying The Q-Ship Society C.I.C. logo. These are all essential costs that enable us to operate and raise awareness. To clarify, The Q-Ship Society is not a registered charity. We are a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), which is a not-for-profit organisation established to benefit the community. As a C.I.C., we are entitled to fundraise, and all funds raised are used to support our objectives. We do not pay our members, and we have never used donations to purchase personal ite
