The company's principal activity during the year continued to be carrying out work for the benefit of the UK general public to improve the environment, economy and the public's relationship with food by communicating how much good food is wasted in the UK, and what can be done to prevent it. This is Rubbish C.I.C. started its current primary project Plenty to Share in April 2020. Online resources and partnerships continued to be formed during this financial year in order to reach a wider audience and build a network of support between organisations which focus on both or either food waste reduction and (food) poverty reduction. Workshops on food waste and food justice were delivered online and in-person with grassroots and frontline food aid organisations across the UK. Larger scale public engagement activities which ceased due to Covid-19 have not been restarted.
