Neville Anthony Taylor (“Mr Taylor”) breached his fiduciary duties by failing to act in the best interests of twelve companies and their creditors, having become sole director of the companies after they had ceased trading but before entering into liquidation. His conduct was as part of a scheme designed to subvert and undermine the insolvency legislation, • Between 19 April 2022 and 24 March 2023 Mr Taylor was appointed as sole director of the 12 companies listed below. • In all cases, Mr Taylor became director after being paid to do so by a connected third party. The connected party has since been wound up in the public interest on the grounds that it co-ordinated a business lacking commercial probity as it was designed to subvert and undermine the insolvency regime and legislation. • Analysis of the bank statements of the connected third party company show payments totalling £266,914 being made to Mr Taylor, via another company. • In each of the 12 cases below, Mr Taylor was given limited company information by the connected third party who made the referral and made little attempt (or in some cases no attempt) to gather further information or verify the information given to him. • Of the 12 companies below, all had assets listed on their final filed accounts (except Necto Build, which never filed accounts). In total, these equal £8,278,912 across the 12 companies. • Mr Taylor made inadequate attempts to identify and locate these assets, to obtain company records or to make himself aware of the companies’ trading styles. • In each of the companies below, Mr Taylor’s negligence has hampered recovery efforts by the insolvency office holders and caused detriment to creditors on a wide scale.
