THE A835/A893 TRUNK ROAD (ULLAPOOL) (20MPH AND 30MPH
SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 202[]
THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to
make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and
paragraph 27 of schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984
which will have the effect of imposing a 20mph and 30mph speed
limits on the following lengths of road:-
20mph Speed Limit
1. That length of the A835/A893 Tore – Ullapool Trunk Road at
Ullapool from a point 207 metres or thereby east of the extended west
kerbline of the A835 Mill Street at its junction with Shore Street, in a
westerly direction to a point 60 metres or thereby west of the
extended west kerbline of the U3904 Quay Street at its junction with
Shore Street and West Shore Street, a distance of 583 metres or
thereby.
30mph Speed Limit
2. That length of the A835/A893 Tore – Ullapool Trunk Road at
Ullapool from a point 207 metres or thereby east of the extended west
kerbline of the A835 Mill Street at its junction with Shore Street, in an
easterly direction to a point 200 metres or thereby northwest of Braes
bridge in a generally south easterly direction, a distance of 391 metres
or thereby.

with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of
the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may
be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 20th

1. The general effect of the Order will be to:-
2. Introduce electric vehicle charging parking places for the purpose
of charging electric vehicles in On Street Parking Places in the
location detailed below. Where necessary, existing parking places will
be reduced or removed to accommodate the new charging bays.
i) Six electric vehicle charging parking places served by three charging
points are provided for use by electric vehicles in Hilldene Avenue
removing the existing pay to park bays
3. The electric vehicle charging parking places are to operate at any
time for use by electric vehicles only. A maximum stay of 6 hours will
be enforced during the charging hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to
Sunday during which an electric vehicle is required to be receiving a
charge from the electric vehicle charging point in order to park legally.
A no return within 2 hours restriction applies. Outside the hours of
8am to 6pm during which an electric vehicle is required to be
receiving a charge from the electric vehicle charging point in order to
park legally, no maximum stay restriction applies.
Disabled badge holders displaying a blue badge in an electric vehicle
are still required to use the badge in conjunction with an electric
vehicle charging parking place whilst connected to a charging point.
During the hours of 8am to 6pm electric vehicle charging parking
places will not be exempt from parking tariffs and motorists will need
to pay for the power used.
Outside the hours of 8am to 6pm electric vehicle charging parking
places will be exempt from parking tariffs but motorists will need to
pay for the power used.

be to revoke the Shared Use Parking Places in certain lengths of

4. The general effect of the Moving Traffic Restrictions Order would be
to:
(a) revoke the “Prohibition of Motor Vehicles” in Downton Avenue
between its junctions with Wavertree Road and Hillside Road and
introduce a bus lane in the same length of street;
(b) prohibit motor vehicles from entering certain lengths of Palace
Road.
5. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Council of the London Borough of
Lambeth proposes to:
(a) construct a continuous footway in Hitherfield Road at its junction
with Leigham Vale;
(b) remove the traffic islands at the junction of Downton Avenue and
Wavertree Road and replace them with a raised table;
(c) construct a raised table in Hillside Road at its junction with
Downton Avenue and Wavertree Road and extend the current raised

2. The general effect of the Orders which will come into force on 23
December 2024 will be in:–

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The London Borough of Hounslow
proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45,

Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and install four road humps under
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to:
a) introduce “No loading at any time” restrictions on the north-west
side of Staines Road between a point 1.5m north-east of the
boundary of No.1 Pontes Avenue and No 223 and a point 4.5m south-
west of Orchid Gardens, and between the north-eastern boundary
wall of No.249 and Wivenhoe Court (in place of “No loading Monday
to Friday 8 to 9.30am and 4.30 to 6.30pm); and
b) introduce “No waiting and No loading at any time” restrictions on
the north-west side of Staines Road between a point in line with the
north-east boundary wall of No 213 and a point 1.5 metres north-east
of the property boundary of No 223 and No.1 Pontes Avenue, and
between the south-west boundary wall of Nos 1 to 6 Orchid Gardens
and the north-eastern boundary wall of No.249 (in place of “No
waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm”, and “No loading 8 to
9.30am and 4.30 to 6.30pm”); and

c) introduce “No waiting and No loading at any time” restrictions on
the south-east side of Staines Road between the property boundary
of Nos. 206 and 208 and a point 4 metres south-west of the property
boundary of Nos.210 and 212, and between a point 9.5 metres north-
east of the property boundary of No. 220-226 and No. 228 and a point
5.5 metres south-west of the property boundary of No.220-226 and
No.228.
d) introduce “No Waiting at any time” restrictions on the north-west
side of Staines Road between a point a point 4.5m south-west of
Orchid Gardens and the north-eastern boundary wall of No.249 (in
place of “No waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm”).
e) introduce “No loading Monday to Friday 7 – 10am and 4 – 7pm and
Saturday & Sunday 10am – 4pm) restrictions outside the Lamplighter
and Moon Under Water public houses; and
3. The general effect of the Loading Places Order would be to:
a) introduce goods vehicles loading bays (Monday to Friday M’night –
7am, 10am – 4pm, 7pm – M’night, Sat & Sun M’night to 10am, 4pm –
M’night) maximum 40 minutes, no return within 1 hour) on the south-
east side of Staines Road, outside the Lamplighter and Moon Under
Water public houses; and
b) introduce a goods vehicle loading bay (Monday to Saturday 8am to
6.30pm maximum 40 minutes, no return within 1 hour) on the south-
east side of Staines Road, outside Nos 228-230.
4. The proposed flat-top road humps will be introduced under Section
90a of the Highways Act 1980 at the following locations:

1. The London Borough of Hounslow hereby gives notice that on 18
December 2024 it made the above Order under Section 6 and 124 of

2. The general effect of the Order will be to make permanent the
experimental order and will:

Regent Road, Staines Road, Wellington Road South, Hounslow; and
Mogden Lane, Twickenham Road, Isleworth.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or any

entitled “The Parking and Waiting Restrictions (Belfast) (Amendment

p.m. on Monday to Friday inclusive (loading and unloading permitted)

-1. The Council of the London Borough of Lewisham proposes to
make the above Traffic Regulation Orders under Sections 6, 32, 35,
36, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which is to:- (1)
convert the existing Lewisham Central Controlled Parking Zone B into
two Controlled Parking Zones, namely Lewisham Central CPZ (B1)

that part revoked will be replaced by waiting restriction (single yellow
line), operating between Mondays to Saturdays (inclusive) between
9am and 7pm for Lewisham Central CPZ (B1) and Mondays to
Saturdays (inclusive) between 9am and 7pm and Sundays between
9am and 1.30pm for Lewisham Central Southern CPZ (B2), unless
otherwise specified.

REGULATIONS (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2024
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs has
made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Environmental Protection (Single-
Use Vapes) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024”. (S.R. 2024 No 212)
which comes into operation on 1st June 2025.
This Rule prohibits the supply, whether by sale or otherwise in the
course of business, of single-use vapes. These Regulations recognise
the strong support from the Northern Ireland public for a ban on single
use vapes in response to the UK wide consultation on ‘Creating a
Smokefree Generation and Tackling Youth Vaping’.
