What it does
The Company has entered into contracts with Bristol City Council (BCC) to undertake development of schools projects in the Bristol area and also the provision of ICT services. Underlying these contracts is a Strategic Partnering Agreement (SPA) entered into with BCC which granted the Company exclusivity over all educational projects valued at greater than £500k. In return the Company is required to achieve a series of Key Performance Indicators, including Value for Money, against a national benchmark rate. The first phase was to deliver 4 PFI schools under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Wave 1 programme, followed shortly after by 6 “Design and Build” (D&B) BSF Schools in Wave 4. From 2010 BCC had a requirement to deliver additional Primary school places due to a population increase, which it achieved through a programme of Primary School D&B projects.
