The principal activities of the Company during the year were to carry out the functions of the National Governing Body of Athletics in the UK as required by World Athletics and the International Paralympic Committee. The Company stages and promotes a number of televised athletics events, most notably World Athletics Diamond League meetings, which showcase the sport, give further opportunity for British athletes to perform on a global stage and generate revenues to fund the operational costs of the National Governing Body and the services it provides.
